While I’m not some famous artist on a stage every night singing to & inspiring thousands of people, I do try to encourage and inspire the people that I cross paths with in my own life. My entire business mission is to support, encourage and build the self worth of all the girls I have the privilege of working with. It’s what I’m passionate about. I feel it’s what He’s called me to do with this gift of photography that He has given me.
So even though I’m not standing on a stage, I resonate with this song so much because while it is my life’s mission to uplift and encourage people, there are many days when I don’t “feel” like doing just that. All of my own inspiration is gone.
“I've stood on this stage night after night
Reminding the broken it'll be alright
But right now, oh right now I just can't
It's easy to sing
When there's nothing to bring me down
But what will I say
When I'm held to the flame”
It’s easy for me to encourage and uplift the majority of the time. It’s second nature to me. “When there’s nothing to bring me down” But sometimes when I’m being “held to the flame”, it’s a huge challenge for me to support others the way I know I’m meant to be doing.
So what do you do? When your work can be very personal, and sometimes an emotional experience with your clients. When you are expected to show up every time being the person you long to be all the time, but only feel like some of the time.
I keep moving on. Keep doing. Keep showing up. Reaching out to Him to help me get back on track.
“I know the sorrow, and I know the hurt
Would all go away if You'd just say the word
But even if You don't
My hope is You alone”
Even if He doesn’t just make it all better, which lets face it, when does that ever happen, I know He’s still going to help me get through. Even when I don’t “feel” like showing up and doing what I do, I still show up and know that it’ll all work out. And, that I’ll be better off in the end for just showing up. AND hopefully, so will the sweet soul I’ve been given the honor of working with.
So my encouragement for you today is to remember that He’s always there for you. Not always in the way that we had “planned” or “hoped” for. He’s got His own detailed plans for your life. So keep reaching out to him and asking him to move those mountains. And remember that “even if” he doesn’t, you will still keep your hope in Him alone. Faith over Fear. ♥

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
